Support Worker / Teaching Assistant – SEN & Alternative Provision Schools

Start Date: Immediate
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (term-time only)
Salary: £90–£100 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role
We’re partnering with SEN and alternative provision schools across Liverpool and the Wirral to recruit dedicated Support Workers who can bring their care and support skills into education. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs, helping them engage in learning and develop essential life skills.
What you’ll do:
Support pupils with SEND or SEMH needs
Work closely with teachers and SENCO to adapt learning strategies
Encourage confidence, independence, and a love of learning
Help children overcome barriers and achieve their potential
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children and/or vulnerable adults
Background in residential care, youth work, or support services (highly desirable)
Patience, empathy, and strong behaviour management skills
A proactive, team-focused attitude
A genuine passion for making a difference

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
