Position: Centre Lathe Turner
Location: Sheffield
Rate £16.12 (£32,691.36 per annum)
Centre Lathe Turner required for a well-established specialist supplier of hydraulic and Electric Submersible Pumps. The successful Candidate will be undertaking Setting and Operating Manual Lathes. It is envisioned that the successful candidate will come from a background in Manual Machining with a strong level of turning experience, have completed a Mechanical apprenticeship and be based within a commutable distance of Sheffield.
Centre Lathe Turner Job Overview
* Set and operate Manual Lathes
* Calculator dimensions and tolerances using Micrometres, Vernier's, Callipers, etc.
* Monitor Feed and speed of manufacturing machinery
* Measuring and recording build tolerances and determine parts that require repair.
* Self-inspecting your own work with hand tools
Centre Lathe Turner Job Requirements
* Previous experience in the setting and operating of Manual Lathes
* Able to read and interpret Mechanical drawings
* Either Time served or City and Guilds qualified in Mechanical Engineering
* Familiarity with Health and safety standards, any H&S qualifications would be a bonus
* Based within a commutable distance of Sheffield
* Full UK Driving licence
