Support Worker

Pay rate: £14.50 per hour (Weekly or Monthly pay available)
Contract: 1 x 36hrs and 1x 24hrs available) on waking nights, Monday to Sunday: 19:00pm - 7:00am

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated female support worker to assist a gentleman in his late 30s who is living with a spinal injury and is paralysed from the chest down. He is a clear communicator and uses an eye-gaze device for typing emails and messages. Full support is required with all aspects of daily living, including personal care and bowel management.

You will be working in a well-adapted home where he lives with his wife and their 8-month-old baby. They are a fun-loving family with a great sense of humour who enjoy spending quality time together. They also have a passion for hobbies such as shooting and visiting local attractions.

Responsibilities:

• Providing high-quality 1:1 support tailored to individual needs.
• Supporting with all aspects of daily living, including personal care and bowel care management
• Assisting with routine household tasks to maintain a calm and organised home environment
• Encouraging and enabling participation in meaningful activities at home and in the community
• Supporting communication using assistive technology
