We’re currently hiring a Finance Business Partner on behalf of a leading financial services organisation that’s transforming how it manages investment and project spend.
This is a fully remote opportunity offering a 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential to extend.
The Role
As a Finance Business Partner, you’ll join a newly formed team created to scrutinize and optimize investment across a portfolio of technology and change initiatives. This team was established following a strategic review, with a mission to identify inefficiencies and maximise return on investment.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to:
* Validate and challenge the financials of complex business cases, particularly in tech and cyber security projects.
* Assess ROI and provide recommendations on project viability.
* Control budgets, investigate variances, and ensure alignment with forecasts.
* Report on financial performance across the investment portfolio, including monthly reporting and ad hoc analysis.
* Support annual budgeting and reforecasting for investment spend.
* Build strong relationships with project teams to understand delivery milestones and financial implications.
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Based in Scotland or North of England to be able to travel to Edinburgh/Glasgow when required
* Proven experience in financial services and business change environments.
* Strong background in project finance, especially within technology or software-related initiatives.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
