Are you a creative and passionate Teacher of Art & Design looking to inspire the next generation of young artists? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Art & Design to join a forward-thinking and supportive secondary school in Nottingham NG7.
As a Teacher of Art & Design, you will deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons, nurturing students’ artistic skills and helping them express themselves through a variety of mediums. This role is ideal for experienced teachers, ECTs, or overseas-trained teachers with strong subject knowledge and a genuine love for the arts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality Art & Design lessons across Key Stages.
* Teach a range of techniques including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital design.
* Inspire creativity and encourage students to explore artistic concepts and processes.
* Assess and track pupil progress, offering constructive feedback.
* Maintain an organised, stimulating, and safe studio/classroom environment.
* Contribute to departmental planning, competitions, and extracurricular opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant overseas teaching qualification.
* Strong subject knowledge in Art & Design.
* A creative, patient, and encouraging teaching approach.
* Good classroom management skills and the ability to motivate learners.
* A commitment to fostering artistic confidence and skill development.
* An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
