Join our professional security team as a Control Room Supervisor, where your commitment to professionalism will be valued and recognized. This role offers opportunities to lead and manage a small team of security officers, liaise with the client, and support safety and security initiatives. The Control Room Supervisor (CRS) provides security oversight for AstraZeneca, including responsibilities such as access control, escalations, loss prevention, incident response, and reporting safety and security incidents.
The successful candidate will use strong customer service skills and effective communication to perform the job. They will respond to emails, triage issues, and direct them to the proper authorities, while assisting in the timely completion of reports. They will also perform administrative duties as directed by management and serve as the shift supervisor when required.
Qualifications include proven experience in data centre operations or equivalent security industry experience, or experience in forces/services. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
Salary: £17.60 per hour
Location: Cambridge
Hours: 42 hours (4 on 4 off)
Requirements: SIA license, 3 years of security experience

Responsibilities
* Monitor physical security operations at the Microsoft Data Centre.
* Monitor cameras and access control systems.
* Dispatch personnel as needed.
* Maintain logs and records according to SOP.
* Identify and escalate issues per policies.
* Review reports written during shift.
* Ensure all scheduled posts are filled.
* Brief oncoming CRS about incidents.
* Complete audits and documentation.
* Prepare detailed reports and logs.
* Follow standard procedures and perform additional tasks as assigned.
* Identify security shortfalls and suggest improvements.
* Evaluate safety issues and escalate as needed.
* Follow safe work practices and company policies.
* Perform duties ethically and professionally.
* Demonstrate understanding of core values and risk recognition.
* Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, independently and as part of a team.
Minimum requirements include being at least 18 years old, having reliable communication and transportation, legal right to work in the UK, proficiency in English, and willingness to undergo screening. Candidates should possess strong customer service skills, security knowledge, management skills, and physical ability to perform job duties.
