As the CPO you will be a strong product visionary who can quickly grasp complex markets and systems. Design a path to market leadership and competitive advantage, driving a strategy of modernisation and innovation. As the CPO you will help ensure the technical architecture and software delivery model is optimised, set up for success bringing the product vision to life. Key Accountabilities: Product Vision & Strategy Define and execute a market-leading product strategy that transforms SpecTec’s heritage products into cutting-edge solutions. Product Development & Execution Build, lead and mentor the Product Management, UX, and technical writing teams to ensure a customer-centric, innovative approach to development. UX & Customer Experience Leadership Lead and build UX Design within the business to ensure an intuitive, seamless, and modern user experience. Technical Leadership & Collaboration (CTO-Like Qualities) ·Serve as a strategic technology partner to the Director of R&D who leads the Engineering, and QA teams, ensuring alignment between product vision and technical execution. Business & Market Impact Own the go-to-market strategy, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure successful product adoption and revenue growth. Skills & Experience: 10 years in product management and leadership in a B2B software or enterprise SaaS company. Proven experience in modernising legacy software and transitioning products from on-premise to cloud/SaaS models. Technical acumen, with an understanding of software architecture, engineering workflows, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure. Experience leading cross-functional teams, including Product Management, UX, Engineering, and QA. Hands-on experience with UX design principles and user-centric product development. Experience leading Technical Writing teams to ensure high-quality documentation. Understanding of agile software development, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software delivery methodologies. Strong knowledge of data analytics, AI, and automation trends to drive product innovation. Strategic mindset with an ability to balance long-term vision with short-term execution.
