About the role
The Role:
1. You’ll play a key part in supporting students with a range of learning needs, providing both academic and emotional support.
2. The role may involve assisting with personal care and mobility, including the use of hoists, under the guidance of experienced staff.
3. You’ll need to be empathetic, adaptable, and resilient, especially when routines or behaviours change unexpectedly.
4. Support is delivered one-to-one or in small groups, helping students aged 4 to 19 years reach their full potential.
5. A key focus is on building positive, trusting relationships and making learning fun and engaging.

To be considered for the role of a SEN Teaching Assistant you will:
11. Be flexible.
12. Experience in Teaching Assistant roles (Preferable).
13. Ideally have your own transport or close public transport links
14. Experience with both small group and 1:1 is beneficial
15. Friendly and nurturing qualities.
16. Competent behaviour management skills.
17. Familiarity with a range of needs (e.g., ASD - Autistic Spectrum Disorder, SLD - Severe Learning Difficulty and PMLD - Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulty).
18. Preferablymoving and handling training or have recent experience in this.
19. Have a patient and caring nature.
20. Have a desire to work with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
21. Willing to complete CPD training.

Salary
£445-£470 per week
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
