Overview
Band 3 Health Care Support Workers work closely with people who use our services, their families, friends and carers and play an important contribution in how people experience our services. They are expected to be kind and responsive, professional and informative, and contribute to the quality of the services we provide by:
Responsibilities
* Keeping the people who use our services safe by recognising the limits of the Health Care Assistant role and working closely with Registered Nurses.
* Contributing to the best possible clinical outcomes by using up‑to‑date skills and adhering to evidence‑based policies and procedures when implementing care plans.
* Ensuring the people using our services have a good experience by respecting, empowering and working in partnership with them when implementing and evaluating care plans.
Qualifications & Skills
Although previous experience of working with young people is not essential, candidates should have an interest in working with this client group in an inpatient setting and possess the personal qualities needed to function effectively in a challenging environment. These include high levels of commitment, resilience, positivity and personal warmth, as well as excellent teamwork skills. If you can bring this, you will be well supported in return.
Team Environment
The successful post‑holder will contribute to a positive working environment within the multi‑disciplinary team, accounting for their practice through regular supervision, appraisal and audit.
