Vanrath is recruiting for a Band 3 Residential Child Care Worker on behalf of a large public sector organization in Bangor on a temporary basis.
What's in it for you?
* Full-time 37 hours (over a 7-day rota)
* Shifts from 7:30 am to 8:30 pm, 7:30 am to 2:00 pm, 1:30 pm to 9:00 pm, or waking night duty 8:30 pm to 7:30 am

The post holder will be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering high-quality care to children with physical or learning disabilities and challenging behaviors. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care provisions.

* Deliver and promote evidence-based practice and care plans
* Contribute to improving effective care using an outcomes approach
* Lead by example to ensure high standards of care, supporting children with physical and emotional needs
* Participate actively in team activities and complete duties efficiently
* Assist in assessing care needs for children
* Plan and implement person-centered care
* Work in partnership with children, parents, carers, and other agencies
* Offer a range of activities and ensure a homely atmosphere
* Maintain a safe environment for children, staff, and visitors
About you
Applicants should have an NVQ Level 2 in care with at least one year of relevant experience supporting families, or an NVQ Level 3 in Care, or two years of relevant experience working with children and families. Additional training to achieve NVQ Level 3 or equivalent may be required. Successful applicants must complete registration with NISCC or relevant council before employment.
