Job Summary

We are looking to expand our Sensory Integration provision to meet the growing need of our service users for high quality assessments and interventions. We recognise the crucial role sensory integration can have in achieving good outcomes for the children and families we support and having got our sensory package established, we need the right person to help us grow and develop it.
Job Summary

We recognise the crucial role sensory integration can have in achieving good outcomes for the children and families we support and having got our sensory package established, we need the right person to help us grow and develop it.
You will be working closely with our existing SI OTs and team of Psychologists and Therapists to offer multi-disciplinary assessments of attachment and sensory needs for children. You may also be offering consultations to families regarding their childs sensory needs and there is scope to offer direct work to children and families as well as consultation and training to the wider network.
The Child Psychology Service (TCPS) CIC is a not-for-profit organisation whose aim is to provide caring, therapeutic, psychological support to children and their families. We provide a free-at-the-point-of-access service to families and deliver training and consultations to partner organisations. We work closely with our colleagues in the NHS and social care to provide specialist, therapeutic assessments and interventions that arent always available within statutory services.
Main duties of the job
* Provide high-quality sensory assessments & therapy to children and their families remotely & potentially in their homes/schools under supervision
* To provide effective sensory therapies to children under supervision
* Provide high quality, succinct assessment reports, which guide interventions
* To develop your skills to enable you to deliver SI parent consultations in the future
* Provide high quality, succinct evaluation reports, which demonstrate effectiveness of interventions
* To build and maintain relationships with children and their families & the professional networks around them, often in highly challenging circumstances
* Provide consultation & training to professionals
* Communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team to promote the safety of children and management of risk
* Maintain the high reputation of the service
* Work with the team to develop new areas of service provision e.g. consultation to Residential Homes, training to schools etc
* Work within the needs of a social enterprise
* Ensure that work is high quality
* Reach productivity targets required to sustain the service
* Play an active role in promoting and advocating the service
* Ensure that all TCPS policies & procedures are understood and put into practice
* Attend & actively participate in staff development sessions, team meetings, individual or group supervision, clinical supervision & other meetings as required
* To work flexibly
* To undertake any other duties as required
