Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a range of secondary schools and alternative provisions in Bolton, and we are recruiting full-time Behaviour Support Assistants to start in September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a background in youth work, psychology, sports coaching, or pastoral support who want to make a real difference in a school setting.

The Role:
* Provide targeted behaviour support to students aged 11–16, including those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
* Work 1:1 and in small groups to improve engagement, self-regulation and classroom behaviour.
* De-escalate challenging behaviour and promote positive attitudes to learning.
* Build strong, respectful relationships with students who may have experienced trauma, exclusion or adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff to implement behaviour strategies and support plans.

We Are Looking For:
* Experience working with young people in a school, youth work, residential, or similar setting.
* Confidence in managing behaviour in a calm, consistent and supportive manner.
* Resilience, empathy and a commitment to inclusive education.
* A Team Teach qualification (desirable) – or willingness to complete training through Teaching Personnel.
* An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered to the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
