Location: Home‑based with travel to client sites
Vetting: Candidates must be eligible for SC clearance subject to BPSS and UKSV vetting and be sole UK nationals.
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced SAP BTP Lead/ Architect who enjoys bringing people together, shaping thoughtful solutions, and helping teams grow. In this role, you’ll guide the design and delivery of modern SAP BTP capabilities — from integrations and extensions to automation and AI services — while supporting clean‑core principles and strong platform governance.
You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across the business, creating an environment where ideas are welcomed, voices are heard, and innovation can flourish. Your leadership will help teams feel confident, supported, and empowered to deliver their best work.
What You’ll Do
1. Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of solutions using SAP BTP services such as SAP Build, Integration Suite, Event Mesh, AI Core, and HANA Cloud.
2. Shape clean‑core extensibility strategies for S/4HANA and SAP cloud applications.
3. Support teams in building custom apps, workflows, automations, and side‑by‑side extensions using CAP/RAP and low‑code tools.
4. Develop integration and API strategies using BTP Integration Suite (APIs, OData, REST/SOAP, event‑driven patterns).
5. Provide nurturing, inclusive technical leadership — mentoring developers and encouraging best‑practice engineering.
6. Oversee BTP governance including subaccount design, entitlements, security, cost optimisation, and DevOps/transport processes.
7. Partner with business analysts, enterprise architects, and leadership to translate needs into scalable, people‑centred solutions.
8. Explore emerging SAP technologies (GenAI, Build Code, Event Mesh, etc.) and create PoCs that demonstrate real‑world value.
9. Contribute to presales activities including solutioning, demos, estimations, and proposals.
What We’re Looking For
10. Strong hands‑on experience with SAP BTP services: Integration Suite, SAP Build Apps/Process Automation, Event Mesh, AI Core, and Cloud Foundry/Kyma.
11. Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture, extensibility models, and clean‑core principles.
12. Expertise in API design, integration technologies, and cloud development (CAP, RAP, Node.js, Java).
13. Knowledge of identity and access management (IAS/IPS, OAuth, XSUAA) and security best practices.
14. Experience with CI/CD, Git, deployment automation, and cloud operations.
15. Consultancy and presales experience.
16. A collaborative leadership style, with a focus on communication, mentorship, and creating a supportive team culture.
17. SAP certifications in BTP, Integration Suite, or related domains are a bonus.
