ECHO Personnel are recruiting an experienced Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver for a well-established manufacturing business based in Oakham .The company is a world leader in the production of synchronous alternators and is looking to strengthen its warehouse team with a reliable and skilled operator working on a 08:0016:30 shift.THIS IS A PERMANENT ROLEThe successful candidate will support goods-in, production line feeding, and despatch operations, including computer-based stock and system administration tasks. This is a varied role that is not 100% forklift driving, and will involve cross-functional warehouse support as required.Key Responsibilities:Transport and deliver components and parts to production assembly linesLoad and unload lorries safely and efficientlyPrepare, pick, and pack customer orders for despatchSupport goods-in and despatch processes, including system updatesAssist with stock control, inventory management, and location accuracyMaintain correct and safe storage of goods, ensuring SWL complianceUse warehouse systems (e.g. SAP or similar WMS) for stock updates and administrationIdentify and report warehouse process issues, suggesting improvementsProvide flexible support across all warehouse functions as requiredMaintain a clean, safe, and organised working environmentRequirements:Valid ITSSAR-accredited Reach Truck licence (essential)Valid Counterbalance forklift licence (Desirable)Minimum 2 years experience in warehouse operations and stock controlExperience using SAP or similar warehouse management systems (desirable)Strong attention to detail and accuracyGood computer skills, including Microsoft OutlookStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work at pace in a busy manufacturing environmentFlexible and willing to support occasional overtime/weekend work if requiredProblem-solving mindset with a proactive, can-do attitudeHours:08:00 16:30 (30-minute unpaid lunch break)Monday to FridayPay Rate:£28,080 per annumBenefits:20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (increasing with service up to 25 days)Annual performance-related bonus (up to 7%)5% employer pension contribution (after qualifying period)Life insurance (4x salary)Employee Assistance ProgrammeFree on-site parkingIf you are interested, please apply by submitting your CV.TPBN1_UKTJ
