ALN / SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) or Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Chepstow area.
You’ll play a key role in supporting pupils who need extra guidance — helping them reach their full potential both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ALN/SEN (including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Moderate Learning Difficulties)
* Assist the class teacher in adapting learning materials to meet individual needs
* Help manage behaviour and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment
* Support pupils with personal care and emotional regulation, where required
* Encourage independence, confidence, and progress through consistent support

Requirements:
✅ Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (school or care setting)
✅ A patient, resilient, and understanding approach to behaviour management
✅ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
✅ Genuine passion for helping every child succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
