Group Parts Manager - Vale of Glamorgan and Rhondda Cynon Taf Region
1. Salary: Negotiable pending experience and current earnings.
2. Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday, with an hour lunch, and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings.
Our client, a multi-site franchised approved car dealer group, requires a Parts Manager to oversee their three dealerships located in the Vale of Glamorgan and the Rhondda Cynon Taf region.
As the Parts Manager, you will report to the Aftersales Director and work at the closest dealership to your home address.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
3. Manage a team of 3 Parts Advisors across 3 dealerships (Llandow, Talbot Green, and Rhondda).
4. Providing holiday/sickness coverage across these sites.
5. Receive all parts orders, accurately identify requirements and ensure that they are accurately and promptly picked and dispatched.
6. Accurately identify and process customer parts requirements, whilst maintaining a courteous and professional approach in a busy trade parts sales environment.
7. Be sales-oriented and target-driven to ensure successful parts growth.
8. Ensure that all company policies and procedures applicable to their area of responsibility are adhered to at all times.
To be eligible, you will live within an easily commutable distance of either Llandow, Talbot Green, or Rhondda. You will need to hold strong current automotive vehicle parts experience, ideally working with the main dealership Parts Department; however, our client is also very interested in individuals from a motor factor background with relevant managerial/supervisory experience. Our client is willing to consider Parts Supervisors looking to progress, or current Parts Managers looking for a new challenge. You will also need to be IT literate, given you will work daily with a dealer management system (Kerridge/ADP) and electronic parts catalogue system, hold a UK driving license with minimal points, and have strong customer service/sales skills with a friendly and charismatic manner.
