About the Role
ESPA College is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Maths Tutor to support our college students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is a long-term opportunity for someone passionate about inclusive education and making a meaningful difference.
You will deliver Maths up to Level 2 Functional Skills and below, working primarily 1:1 and in small groups to meet individual learning needs. All learners at the college have SEND, so a flexible, patient, and learner-centred approach is essential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver engaging Maths sessions up to Level 2 Functional Skills and lower
2. Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small group settings
3. Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit a range of SEND needs
4. Track progress and provide constructive feedback
5. Work collaboratively with college staff to support student development
Requirements
6. Experience teaching Maths up to Level 2 Functional Skills (or equivalent)
7. Experience working with SEND learners (essential)
8. A calm, supportive, and adaptable teaching style
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
10. Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
