Legal Officer – Four Roles Available | 9076 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £31,537 - £33,699 per annum | Scale G | Norwich
Join Norfolk County Council as a Legal Officer in the planning team of nplaw. You will provide legal support to our Lawyers and Senior Legal Officers, assist with traffic regulation orders, planning transactions, and client casework, and deliver high‑quality customer service throughout.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in drafting and administering Traffic Regulation Orders and other planning documents.
* Handle straightforward transactions and casework, including Tree Preservation Orders, s278 and s106 agreements.
* Attend meetings, take notes, and ensure deadlines and order time limits are complied with.
* Draft legal documentation under supervision, and provide general support to team members.
* Engage directly with clients to maintain a high degree of customer service.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Demonstrable experience working in a legal environment, or a legal qualification such as a law degree.
* Or be CILEx level 3 qualified (or working towards CILEx level 3) or possess a similar qualification.
* Good knowledge of the law, strong written and organisational communication skills, and a willingness to learn.
