This role offers 37.5 hours per week, with flexible working requests considered based on business needs and reviewed annually. The salary will be pro-rata for part-time hours.

Main duties of the job
Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) aims to provide the best primary healthcare to Armed Forces members and entitled personnel, operating in a fast-paced environment.
DPHC delivers services in accordance with NHS standards and MoD policies.
You will primarily provide dental treatments, oral hygiene instruction, and education, along with administrative duties to support force readiness and operational capability. You may also support other DPHC sites or health fairs as needed.

Job responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Undertaking Continuous Professional Development in areas such as medical emergencies, Infection Prevention Control (IPC), radiography, radiation safety, legal and ethical issues, and handling complaints, as recommended by the GDC.
* Providing treatment within the scope of practice for dental hygienists, following GDC guidelines and patient group directives.
* Supporting the Senior Dental Officer and Practice Manager with administrative tasks.
* Delivering elements of dental treatment plans prescribed by a registered dentist, in line with professional guidance.
* Familiarity with the Dental Emergency Resuscitation Kit (DERK), how to access and use it, and capable of performing CPR if necessary.
* Traveling to and working from other centres if required, in line with contracts and policies.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered with the GDC without restrictions, or able to obtain registration prior to starting.
* Completed a GDC-approved Certificate/Diploma in Dental Hygiene or BSc in Dental Therapy.

Salary: £29,970 to £36,483 per year, pro-rata for part-time, subject to pay award.
