Job Overview

How would you like to be paid for five days but only work four*?

At Outcomes First Group, we believe in better work/life balance — and we’re putting wellbeing first.

We’re proud to be taking part in a 4-Day Working Week Trial, meaning you could work one day less a week (or equivalent hours), while still receiving your full-time pay.

4DWW will be rolled out within our school, when we have a full complement of staff – so there’s never been a more exciting time to join us #teamOFG!

Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Hambrook School, Burgess Hill, West Sussex RH15 8HZ

Salary: £20,906.25 per annum (not pro rata)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

UK applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship.

We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to become part of our close-knit and supportive team at Hambrook School, a proud part of the Options Autism family.

About The Role

Step into a rewarding career where you can truly impact the lives of young people. At Hambrook School, you’ll be part of an inspiring team that creates nurturing, inclusive learning environments where pupils grow beyond expectations.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll build meaningful connections with pupils who have diverse and complex needs — helping them reach their full potential through personalised support. You’ll play a key role in shaping their daily learning experiences, guiding them with patience, empathy, and encouragement.

From preparing materials and supporting lessons to engaging in hands-on activities and one-on-one interactions, your days will be varied, fulfilling, and full of opportunities to grow. You’ll also support pupils’ emotional and physical wellbeing, empowering them to build confidence and connect with the world around them.

Every challenge you face will come with support, collaboration, and the chance to develop your own skills. You’ll learn from others, share your own strengths, and be part of a team that truly works together.

Who We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone flexible, enthusiastic, and ready to make a difference — inside the classroom and beyond. You’ll be comfortable adapting to different roles and settings, whether you're leading activities, supporting outdoor learning, or helping pupils explore new environments.

Above all, you’ll bring a caring, responsive approach and a genuine passion for helping every child succeed.

Qualifications required: GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
