Position Overview
A vacancy at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The role is a senior secretarial position within the Colorectal and Upper GI secretarial team at York Hospital. It is suitable for applicants with an administration background who wish to take a lead in providing comprehensive secretarial/PA support to consultants and their teams. The role requires excellent communication and the ability to engage with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
* Typing of clinic and discharge letters
* Consultant diary management
* Maintaining patient information and clinical systems
* Dealing with correspondence from patients and GP's
* Ensuring referral to treatment and cancer tracking targets are met
* Typing of multi-disciplinary team meeting notes
Qualifications
Applicants should be proficient at typing, have experience in digital dictation, and recent secretarial/administrative experience. Knowledge of medical vocabulary is an advantage, although not essential.
