Role Purpose
As the General Manager, you will inspire and lead a team of Heads of Departments (HODs) to optimize sales, profitability, and guest service. Your structured approach will ensure compliance with company policies while fostering a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Planning
* Collaboration: Work closely with our client and Venue Director to define strategy and tactical plans.
* Structured Approach: Ensure all activities have clear purposes and measurable outcomes.
* External Landscape: Stay updated on competitor activity and market trends to keep us ahead.
* Projects: Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and deliver innovative projects.
Operations
* Exceptional Quality: Ensure consistent product quality and service standards.
* Readiness to Trade: Oversee operational readiness at all times.
* Guest Focus: Drive a culture of hospitality that resonates throughout your team.
* Innovation: Work with key partners to deliver innovative solutions.
* Consistency: Regularly monitor and develop departments to maintain high standards.
* Health & Safety: Uphold and promote a strong health and safety culture.
People Management
* Structure: Collaborate with the Venue Director to optimize team structures.
* Team Leadership: Lead and manage the fixed team for effective operational delivery.
* Culture: Foster a high-energy, engaged team focused on great food and hospitality.
* Performance Reviews: Conduct regular reviews and oversee training plans.
* Communication: Ensure effective communication flows throughout the venue.
Financial & Business Development
* Financial Accountability: Manage costs and profitability, working closely with the Finance Manager.
* Cost Management: Control operating costs in line with targets.
* Key Analytics: Review performance statistics to identify growth opportunities.
* Product Development: Collaborate with culinary and marketing teams for continuous improvement.
Who You Are
We are looking for a confident leader with a minimum of 5 years of senior management experience in Food & Beverage. You should have:
* A proven track record in managing a mixed portfolio of outlets.
* Experience in a stadium or arena environment.
* A passion for food and hospitality.
* Strong communication skills to engage with clients and stakeholders.
* Previous P&L accountability and commercial acumen.
* The ability to adapt between leadership and teamwork as needed.
* Problem-solving skills and resilience in the face of challenges.
Working Conditions
This role may require evening and weekend work, reflecting the dynamic nature of the venue and events.
