Salary: £140 – £190 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a passionate Geography Teacher eager to spark curiosity and deepen students’ understanding of the world around them? GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Barnsley from Easter Term 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to make a real difference, helping students develop key geographical knowledge and critical thinking skills.
About the Role:
As a Geography Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, bringing topics to life and encouraging pupils to explore human and physical geography. You will support students in developing analytical, research, and map skills while preparing them for both internal and external assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach Geography up to GCSE level, inspiring pupils of all abilities.
* Deliver dynamic and engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Use innovative teaching methods to enhance student understanding.
* Prepare students for assessments and external examinations.
* Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
* Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Specialism in Geography or a related subject.
* Experience teaching Geography at secondary level (GCSE desirable).
* Strong subject knowledge and the ability to motivate learners.
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A ten-year career history with references covering the past two years, including your most recent role.
