Ergonomist
Location: Broughton
Contract: 12 months

Overview
Provide ergonomics/HF support to manufacturing processes, assembly and tooling. Reduce ergonomic risk, influence design decisions and support compliance across engineering, operations and H&S.
Responsibilities
* Analyse assembly/installation work for ergonomic risk
* Recommend mitigation and implement ergonomic action plans
* Influence design/tooling to embed “design for manufacture” and user-centred principles
* Support specifications, tenders and supplier engagement for HF work packages
* Ensure compliance with HF standards and legislation; track emerging guidance
* Produce concise reports and brief stakeholders
* Support ergonomics initiatives across other sites as needed
Essential Skills
* Degree (or higher) in Ergonomics / Human Factors (CIEHF-accredited education)
* Registered or working toward Registered Membership (CIEHF or equivalent)
* Strong understanding of HF/ergonomics, ideally in aerospace or similar manufacturing context
* Experience assessing ergonomic risks and proposing practical mitigations in industrial settings
* Proficient with assessment tools, standards and technical reporting
* Effective communicator able to influence engineering stakeholders; able to work autonomously
Desirable
* Prior experience in industrial/manufacturing engineering environments
* Experience with outsourced HF packages / supplier oversight
