Join Police Digital Service as an Event Management Officer - 9 month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover) Salary starting at £38,000 per annum The Event Management Officer will support the event planning and coordination team in organising, managing, and executing both online and in-person events. This experienced position required hands-on experience in event administration and management, ideal for those building on their experience and required essential skills in logistics, client relations, vendor management, and event execution. Communicate with event stakeholders, delegates, vendors, and clients to ensure alignment with event requirements. Maintain event project timelines and update team members and stakeholders on event progress. Arrange event venues, transportation, and accommodation for attendees and staff. Lead on stakeholder and colleague communications to manage orders with event suppliers. Provide coordination support during events and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Maintain accurate records for all event-related documents. Prepare post-event reports and evaluations. What you need to succeed in the role Be proactive and adaptable with a strong willingness to take responsibility for issues and events. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Professional attitude and strong customer service orientation A degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience Proven track record in event coordination or administration Strong organisational and multitasking abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and event management software is a plus. Strong understanding of budgeting and financial tracking for events. Working Arrangements This is a remote role with some national travel required to attend meetings and events. All applicants must be eligible to undergo NPPV3 (Non Police Personnel Vetting Level 3) and SC vetting clearances.
