Are you a caring, patient, and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting children with additional learning needs?
We are looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 and small group support for learners aged 5–16 who may have needs such as ADHD, Autism (ASD), SEMH, Dyslexia, or General Learning Difficulties.
We have a range of opportunities available across inclusive and welcoming schools in Atherstone (CV9) and nearby areas.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
7. Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups
8. Deliver tailored interventions and assist with achieving EHCP targets
9. Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
10. Work closely with Teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
11. Encourage emotional regulation, resilience, and independence through a trauma-informed approach
About You
We are seeking individuals who are:
12. Experienced in supporting children with SEN (education or care background)
13. Calm, patient, and adaptable, with a passion for helping children thrive
14. Strong communicators and excellent team players
15. Familiar with PECS, Makaton, or visual timetables (advantageous but not essential)
16. Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
