Trainee Night Dog Warden – Slough (London & Surrounding Counties)
Hours: 4pm – 4am | Rotating Shifts | 365 Days a Year Operation

Are you passionate about animal welfare and confident working independently at night? We are recruiting a Trainee Night Dog Warden on behalf of a respected organisation specialising in the safe and humane handling of stray dogs across London and the South East. Full training is provided – no previous warden experience required.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely collect and handle stray, frightened or aggressive dogs
Transport dogs to kennels, Battersea Dogs Home, foster carers, or reunite with owners
Work with vets to ensure treatment for sick or injured dogs
Feed, settle and care for dogs in kennels
Maintain clean, safe environments
Complete accurate reports and records
Shift Pattern:
Week 1: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Week 2: Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
4-on/3-off then 3-on/4-off rotation (12-hour shifts)
Essential Requirements:
Experience caring for or working with dogs
Ability to work alone and remain calm under pressure
Physically fit (lifting dogs and crates)
Basic IT skills (Outlook, Excel, tablets)
Full UK manual driving licence (2+ years, max 3 points)
Aged 22+ (insurance requirement)
Able to pass a DBS check
