Overview
Administrative Coordinator (Full time) at Cambridge Archaeological Unit, Department of Archaeology. Based at Storey’s Way, Cambridge, reporting to the Administrator of the CAU as part of a small team. This role operates in a fast-paced commercial and research environment, supporting administrative operations across CAU’s commercial and research activities.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain office procedures to coordinate a wide range of HR-related issues and processes, including maintenance of holiday and sickness records, probation, staff reviews and development processes, recruitment support, and payroll and additional payments processing.
* Undertake procurement and finance tasks as required.
* Gather and manipulate data on various aspects of the department as required.
* Support the Administrator in day-to-day administration and HR, finance, procurement and estates management activities.

Qualifications
* Experience as an Administrator in the Education or Research sector.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a good standard of written and spoken English.
* Experience in administrative and human resources work and excellent IT skills.
* Ability to multitask, use initiative, and work both independently and as part of a team.
* Experience with coordinating administrative duties and knowledge of university systems and financial procedures is preferred (see role description).
