Overview
An exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practitioner in the Integrated Disability Service. The team provides a case management service to people with complex needs, usually associated with learning disability. As an Advanced Practitioner you must be a qualified social worker with at least two years of post-qualifying experience in a statutory setting.
Responsibilities
* Carry a small caseload of complex cases and perform a range of statutory social work functions such as assessments, reviews, complex safeguarding enquiries, and tasks related to the Mental Health Act.
* Support colleagues with their work and deputise for the team manager as required, including formal supervision and mentoring others (e.g., students, apprentices, and ASYEs) as part of the wider management team of the care group.
* Chair meetings, attend court, and provide formal supervision; help newly qualified staff through their first year of assisted practice.
* Be involved in project work and areas of research aligned with personal interests where possible.
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualified social worker with at least two years of post-qualifying experience in a statutory setting.
* Ability to demonstrate experience in complex situations, adult safeguarding, and a good understanding of the MCA and making best interest decisions.
* Experience of mentoring or supervising others is useful; equally important is an approach that inspires and supports others.

Induction & Start Date
