Overview
This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate and reliable Male Complex Care Assistant to support a male client with complex needs, including severe learning and behavioural difficulties, epilepsy, and sensory processing disorder, in his family home on Anglesey. The role involves encouraging engagement, supporting routines, and helping the client enjoy meaningful daily experiences.
About the Client
The client has an ischemic brain injury and lives in a warm family environment with three pet dogs.
Interests & Daily Life
* Trips to the beach and river
* Restaurants, theatre, train rides, and car rides
* Outdoor activities
* Being read to and playing with staff
* Watching Mr Tumble and Peppa Pig
* Picture cards, toy cars, and animal toys
Responsibilities
* Encourage engagement, support routines, and help the client enjoy meaningful daily experiences.
* Assist with daily activities such as outings to beach, restaurant, theatre, and outdoor activities.
* Support the client’s engagement with preferred interests, watch educational programmes, play with toys, and use picture cards.
Qualifications
* Caring, calm, and consistent.
* Confident supporting complex needs and behaviours.
* Comfortable working in the community.
* Flexible for bank/zero‑hours shifts.
* A full UK driver (essential).
* Experience in complex care, learning disabilities, epilepsy, or behavioural support desirable.
