Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Complex Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their homes or care homes, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of care plans and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. A driving licence is a must to facilitate travel between clients. Experience with PEG feed, a must.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
* Support clients in maintaining their independence while providing companionship and emotional support.
* Implement and follow care plans tailored to each client's needs, ensuring that all care is delivered in accordance with established protocols.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure high-quality care delivery.
* Drive to clients' locations as needed, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled visits.
* Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in home care practices.
Experience
* Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is advantageous but training will be provided.
* Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
* Familiarity with IT systems for documentation purposes is beneficial.
* A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between client locations.
