6 months contract with a local authority
Job Purpose
* To lead the effective management, governance and optimisation of operational contracts across Southern Housing’s diverse accommodation portfolio. The post holder will ensure contractual arrangements are robustly governed, performance‑driven and aligned to organisational strategy, managing risk and delivering value for money while providing expert contractual assurance and insight to senior leaders.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
* Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive contract management framework covering leases, management agreements, SLAs and associated contractual arrangements.
* Establish and operate governance and assurance structures to monitor contractual performance, compliance and risk.
* Act as the organisational subject matter expert on contractual obligations, providing clear guidance and advice to internal teams.
* Lead contract audits and reviews to ensure compliance with legislation, regulation and internal policies.
* Carry out planting and grave maintenance in line with Council grave maintenance agreements.
Essential Experience Required
* Significant experience in contract management, governance or assurance within complex environments.
* Experience managing operational contracts, SLAs or commercial agreements with multiple stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications Required
* Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience in contract management, governance, commercial management or a related field.
Additional information to note
* Working Hours: 35 hours per week.
* Work pattern - Hybrid working dependant on experience and performance.
* We work on bi-weekly schedule.
