Job Title: Principal EC&I Engineer
Location: Warrington – Hinton House (minimum 3 days per week, occasional travel to Cumbria)
Security Clearance: BPSS minimum, SC preferred
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Principal EC&I Engineer to lead a team of CE&I engineers and designers supporting Sellafield Ltd’s Site Management Project Office (SMPrO). This role involves delivering high-quality, compliant EC&I designs across the SMPrO portfolio, which focuses on asset-care, refurbishment, and multidisciplinary design projects at Sellafield.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring Sellafield experience and a strong technical background. Occasional site visits to Cumbria may be required (T&S covered).
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a team of CE&I engineers and designers.
* Deliver EC&I designs across a broad range of services, including radiological and environmental monitoring systems.
* Manage work packages delivered by the supply chain.
* Collaborate with engineers, specialists, utilities, and project teams to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions.
* Present technical information clearly to a variety of audiences.
* Ensure compliance with Sellafield standards, procedures, and best practices.
Essential Experience & Skills
* Proven experience working at Sellafield.
* Broad experience in EC&I design.
* Experience with radiological and environmental monitoring systems.
* Strong stakeholder management skills.
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
Desirable Experience & Skills
* Experience in fast-paced project environments.
* Familiarity with NEC3 contracts.
* Ability to work closely with engineers to deliver compliant design outputs.
* Experience managing supply chain-delivered packages of work.
* Skilled at presenting technical information to varied audiences.
Desirable Qualifications
* BEng Degree
* IEng/CEng
