IMU Digital Desk Supervisor
Location: Stuart Ross House, Warwick
Contract: Permanent Contract
Salary: £16,801.50 – £19,638.00 + allowances (Shift Allowance, Weekend Working Allowance)
Responsibilities
Supervise the performance of the IMU and Digital Desk and ensure a high-quality service to members of the public, police officers and partner agencies.
Manage the investigation of criminal offences by the IMU/DD team ensuring compliance with National Standard of Incident Recording (NSIR), National Crime Recording Standards (NCRS), Home Office Counting Rules for Crime (HOCR) and qualitative measures, through robust QA and audit processes.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with national standards.
Oversee effective management of contact from members of the public across multiple communication channels to determine the appropriate level of response.
Ensure support for victims and witnesses in line with the Code of Practice for Victims and Witness Charter.
Act as initial point of contact for internal and external complaints.
Mentor and develop new and existing team members.
Perform other duties as required.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
Knowledge: Level 3 Supervisory qualification or equivalent experience; Knowledge of NSIR, NCRS, HOCR.
Experience: Experience in criminal investigation processes; Supervisory experience within a high‑pressure customer service environment; Ability to motivate teams to achieve targets and meet standards; Proven mentoring, tutoring and coaching of staff.
Key Skills: Ability to work to strict deadlines managing a high and diverse workload; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Competent in IT including Microsoft packages.
Special Conditions
Shift working including weekends and late shifts; Unsocial working hours; Exposure to disturbing/unpleasant images or tasks.
