Overview

Job Title: Junior National Account Manager

Location: South London (4 days a week in office)

We’re working with a leading, award-winning, employee-owned FMCG food business that supplies all major UK retailers and foodservice customers with both Own Label and Branded products. The business is known for its strong international supply base, category expertise, and culture of developing talent for the long term.

As Junior National Account Manager, you’ll report directly into the Sales & Marketing Director, managing and growing sales across new and existing retail and non-retail accounts. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven individual to take ownership, develop customer relationships, and build a credible career in a supportive and entrepreneurial environment.


Key Responsibilities

* Full account management responsibility across retail and non-retail customers.
* Identify, follow up, and secure new business opportunities.
* Build and manage strong relationships with customer stakeholders across Sales, Supply Chain, Technical, Product Development, and Merchandising.
* Partner with Procurement to assess market opportunities for customers.
* Proactively manage customer stock levels with the Supply Chain team.
* Deliver best-in-class presentations using internal and external data in collaboration with Category and Marketing teams.
* Track and report on sales performance and contract balances.


About You

* Degree educated (2:1 or above in a relevant business subject).
* 3+ years’ experience managing UK retail accounts (Own Label experience desirable).
* Food industry background preferred (other FMCG considered).
* Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
* Commercially driven, ambitious, and tenacious.
* Strong IT and Excel skills.
