Responsibilities
* Direct Patient Care as allocated by a trained nurse, after appropriate training, within the framework of a plan of care implemented and reassessed by a registered nurse. Organise tasks flexibly according to priority of needs.
* Assistance and support to the patient in maintaining an acceptable quality of life.
* Maintain accurate and legible documentation in accordance with Health Board Policy, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
* Order HSDU, stores, check delivery, ensuring efficient use of resources.
* Assist with any clerical duties as appropriate.
Role Details
An opportunity has occurred to join the District Nursing Service in the Dwyfor and Meirionnydd Localities. The role involves supporting the district nursing service with the Eifionydd District Nursing team and the Out of Hours team to care for residents in the community who require nursing care. The post includes rotation onto night shifts as per rota. The successful candidate should have obtained or be working towards their NVQ Level III. Applicants should be enthusiastic with an awareness of and commitment to the modernisation of the service. They should be able to work well within a team and also independently. You must be able to travel between patients’ homes both within towns and rural areas in a timely manner; Welsh speaking is desirable.
