The Team
Our role sits within the Chief Digital & Information Group (CDIO), which aims to run a secure, flexible, and modern IT estate that enables innovation and meets evolving needs. Within CDIO, Service Central & Technical Services (SC&TS) manages digital strategy and IT services to create effective systems and services.
Responsibilities
* Design technical solutions for the ServiceNow platform, ensuring standards, resilience, and security compliance.
* Support and provide design solutions for technology challenges, understanding the technologies and architecture strategy.
* Collaborate with development teams, business partners, and IT colleagues to ensure operational delivery aligns with strategic design.
* Work with platform groups to integrate IT systems, leveraging ServiceNow capabilities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance user experience.
Person Specification
* Proven experience in delivering customer-focused technology change with an emphasis on quality.
* Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical details to non-technical audiences.
* Leadership qualities, self-motivated, and committed to continuous improvement.
Main Duties
* Design and understand technical solutions for operational delivery.
* Understand HMRC systems and technology strategies.
* Lead on technical aspects of service delivery.
* Communicate technical viewpoints effectively.
* Mentor and lead technical teams.
Essential Criteria
* Experience in technical architecture, enterprise architecture, solution design, and systems integration.
* Experience with public cloud technologies and high/low-level design governance.
* Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
Desirable Criteria
* ServiceNow knowledge and certification.
* Experience with agile, ITIL, cloud, DevOps, enterprise architecture, and secure environments.
Additional Information
This role requires National Security Vetting checks at Security Clearance (SC) level, which you must hold or be willing to obtain prior to starting.
