Main Duties
As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will support the Occupational Therapist in delivering structured activities and interventions to service users. You will build one-to-one relationships with service users to encourage their participation and empower their recovery. You will contribute to the assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and modification of activities to measure progression and ensure effectiveness. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be supported regionally and have access to various training and online courses to support your career development and growth.

Job responsibilities
* Assist Occupational Therapists, Nurses and other MDT staff in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual care plans.
* Support service users to achieve their goals and access appropriate services.
* Maintain adequate records, entering details in the service user healthcare records.
Qualifications
* GCSE/O-Levels (A-C) or a relevant NVQ2.
* Experience in a similar environment & mental health.
* Verbal and written communication skills.

You will be working at Wellesley Hospital, a purpose built 101 bed hospital in Wellington (Somerset) for men and women with mental health needs. There are 6 wards for people with mental health needs and 1 ward for people with Learning Disabilities and Autism.
The Wellesley Hospital built in 2017 works alongside Devon Partnership NHS Trust, Avon and Wiltshire Foundation Trust, Cornwall Foundation Trust, 2gether Foundation Trust, and Livewell to deliver the best possible environment for patients with mental health issues.
