About The Role
We are looking for a proactive and analytical Accountant to join our Cash team. In this role, you'll primarily be responsible for the short- long-term forecasting of Group's cash flow, understanding working capital impacts, including the improvement plan, and Capex governance.
Responsibilities
Cash Flow Forecasting
* Direct Cash Flow: Responsibility on a weekly basis for the Group's 13 week cash flow, including investigating variances and shaping narrative on key movements. This includes working alongside Treasury and Finance Ops functions on short-term liquidity management.
* Long Term Budgeting and Forecasting: Involvement in longer-term cash forecasting as part of annual budgeting process and periodic updates, with the opportunity to understand all key cash drivers across the business.
Working Capital & Improvement Plan
* Working Capital Movements: Working alongside the balance sheet team to understand key working capital movements from the Group accounts, with a viewpoint of year-on-year and year-to-go impacts.
* Working Capital Improvement Plan: A key part in delivering the Group's working capital improvement plan, including calculating estimated cash impacts with key stakeholders, verification of initiatives once live and weekly reporting.
Capital Investment & Business Partnering
Capex Governance: Act as the financial lead for key governance around Capital approvals to ensure robust investment decisions for the Group and that we spend within the allocated budget.
About You
* A qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with strong analytical and commercial skills.
* Comfortable working with large data sets and financial systems (experience with Excel and SAP or similar systems is a plus).
* Curious and proactive, with the confidence to question and explore the story behind the numbers.
* Able to work independently while building strong relationships with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
* Detail-oriented and organised, with a focus on delivering accurate and actionable insight.
