We’re looking for a Geochemical Specialist to join our team and contribute to the next phase of mine water treatment and environmental management. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working in multidisciplinary teams, and applying scientific knowledge to create sustainable solutions.
What You’ll Bring
* A degree in Chemistry (Environmental Chemistry, Geochemistry, Hydrochemistry), Geology (Earth Science, Environmental Earth Science), or equivalent relevant experience.
* Experience working on mining or environmental projects (coal and/or metal mines), with a solid understanding of mine water chemistry and geochemistry.
* Hands-on experience in designing and conducting environmental field monitoring and sampling programmes.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Providing expert geochemical input to support the strategic mine water programme led by the Mining Remediation Authority, as well as its day-to-day operations.
* Working both independently and alongside experienced colleagues, applying your knowledge to deliver high-quality outcomes in mine water geochemistry.
* Supporting and supervising contractors, ensuring the quality and consistency of mine water monitoring activities and scientific outputs.
* Contributing to the implementation of new monitoring and data systems, working closely with our Senior Geochemist and our main contractor to embed robust processes.
