Key Responsibilities As the Office Administrator, you’ll provide vital support across all areas of our organisation. This is a varied and rewarding role where your attention to detail and ability to stay organised will help our programmes and events run seamlessly. You’ll be the link between our internal team, external partners and volunteers, ensuring communications are smooth and information is well-managed. Your day-to-day work will include: Managing emails, calls and general enquiries from partners and the public. Coordinating meetings, recording actions, and supporting diary management for senior staff. Maintaining accurate records, updating databases, and keeping shared files organised. Supporting the delivery of community and business programmes and citywide events. Assisting with volunteer recruitment, onboarding and engagement activities. Every task you complete helps make Portsmouth a stronger, more connected city. You’ll be an essential part of a team that genuinely cares about making a difference. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enthusiastic about contributing to a cause that matters. You’ll bring previous experience as an Office Administrator or in a similar administrative position, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should also have: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. The ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing needs. A positive, professional and team-focused attitude when engaging with stakeholders in person or publicly through social media. A genuine passion for Portsmouth and a desire to help the city thrive.
