The Crown is a dynamic, family-run hotel known for its warm hospitality and commitment to excellent guest experiences. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team and play a vital role in the smooth day-to-day running of the hotel.
About the Role
As Assistant Manager, you'll work closely with the Area Manager to oversee all areas of hotel operations, ensuring high standards across both front-of-house and back-of-house teams. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
This role has a working week of:
37 hours
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Manager in the day-to-day operations of the hotel
* Supervise and motivate a team of approximately 15 staff across reception, housekeeping, and food & beverage departments
* Ensure smooth running of daily operations, maintaining efficiency and high service standards
* Deliver exceptional customer service and handle guest feedback professionally
* Help implement and improve procedures to enhance performance, team productivity, and customer satisfaction
* Collaborate with all departments to ensure seamless communication and operations
* Assist with staff training, scheduling, and performance management
What We're Looking For
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a hospitality or hotel management role
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
* A proactive, hands-on approach with great attention to detail
* Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a busy hotel setting
* Solid knowledge of hotel systems, including:
* Room booking systems (e.g. Eviivo)
* POS systems (e.g. Zonal)
* HR tools (e.g. BrightHR)
* Microsoft Excel for reporting and planning
