We’re looking for an experienced and driven Production Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Engineering and Technical Manager, you’ll take ownership of manufacturing processes and project-level engineering requirements, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with engineers and production, you’ll help maintain operation standards, optimise processes, and drive improvements across tooling, OEE, quality, utilisation, and efficiency. You’ll play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, leading initiatives to improve safety, process performance, and product handling across the site.
This role also involves providing commercial support during tendering and bids, contributing your technical expertise to help secure the best quality and value. You’ll plan and coordinate production engineering processes, diagnose and resolve issues, and develop improvements to make the most of our product, equipment, materials, and people.
You’ll stay up to date with product specifications, engineering developments, and production technologies, undertaking specialist projects and benchmarking studies to identify best practices and future trends. You’ll also prepare reports, present progress at meetings, and ensure all products meet customer and quality standards.
To be successful, you’ll have a relevant manufacturing or engineering degreeideally at master’s leveland proven experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment. You’ll bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in MS Office and CAD. Recognised engineering qualifications such as ONC, City & Guilds Level 3, BTec National Diploma Level 3, or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) are required, and professional accreditation would be an advantage.
