An established, highly respected planning and development consultancy is looking to appoint a Graduate Planner to join its growing Manchester based Planning & Development team. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who are passionate about town planning, urban development, and the built environment, and who are keen to build a long-term career within a professional consultancy environment.
Graduate Planner Duties
* Assisting senior planners with the preparation and submission of planning applications, appeals and supporting documentation
* Undertaking planning policy research, site appraisals, and development feasibility analysis
* Monitoring local and national planning policy, planning applications, and regulatory updates
* Attending client meetings, site visits, and stakeholder consultations as required
* Maintaining accurate project records, tracking deadlines, and supporting timely project delivery
* Contributing to business development, including bid submissions, reports, and marketing material
Graduate Planner Requirements
* A degree in Town Planning or similar
* Work experience in a similar role
* Desire to work towards RTPI membership
* Strong research, analytical, and written communication skills
* Confident verbal communication and ability to engage with clients and colleagues
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
* A proactive team player with the ability to work independently when required
