Future Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems Program Office (FISRSPO) is seeking a highly professional and motivated Business Support Officer to join our team. The Business Support Officer will work to the EL1 Business Operations Manager and lead a small team to deliver a wide variety of business functions to the SPO including:
10. Commercial support including administration of the Major Service Provider contract for above the line contractor support
11. Management of SPO financial management activities funded through the Group Operating Budget
12. Coordination of travel processes, registers and funding approvals
13. Development of streamlined business processes
14. Management of SharePoint and Intranet pages
15. Coordination of information and records management structures and accesses
16. Other business administration functions as required

Future Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems Program Office (FISRSPO) is the acquisition agency for leading edge ISR capability. 'Future Skies, Future Eyes' is the FISRSPO motto and it speaks to our need to ensure Australia’s readiness for future challenges. FISRSPO is currently responsible for two major projects set to imminently deliver the next two unique platforms to the Royal Australian Air Force fleet.
The materiel we acquire includes crewed and un-crewed aerial systems and ground control segments, training systems, and associated infrastructure and support systems. FISRSPO is also responsible for the integration of all elements of the Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC), to ensure seamless transition to service of the acquired capability, enabling achievement of Initial Operational Capability (IOC), and Final Operational Capability (FOC) on time and within budget.
FISRSPO is an integrated workplace with ADF, APS and contracted personnel, committed to flexible work practices.
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, enthusiastic and experienced in leading a small team delivering excellent administrative, contracting and procurement support. For this role you will need to show the flexibility to respond to the changing context and shifting priorities of the Defence environment to achieve business outcomes. You will provide support to a geographically dispersed team to ensure they are sensitive to Defence strategic direction and to excel, while exercising a degree of independence.
You will be accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve complex procedural, operational, administrative and business support work within an integrated workforce. You will be required to have and maintain a well-developed knowledge and understanding of Defence policy and procedures. You will have the ability to work flexibly and respond to changing priorities and challenges of the work environment. You will also display sound judgment and decision-making and have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
