The HR Assistant is a full-time, non-exempt position eligible for overtime and benefits with a schedule of M-F (standard working hours). Initial training will be on-site with the potential to work from home up to 2 days per week once onboarded. The ideal candidate will be a positive team-player who is highly organized and able to demonstrates strong professional judgement. Summary of Essential Responsibilities: Assist with the Firm’s US & UK recruiting efforts by helping with sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and guiding candidates efficiently through the hiring process. Help coordinate onboarding including internal system set up, preparing training schedules, organizing travel arrangements, scheduling onboarding trainings, and conducting tours. Respond to employee inquiries submitted through the HR ticketing system. Take a service-based approach, escalating as necessary. Maintain accurate employee data in the Firm’s HRIS (Paycor) with new hires, employee updates, etc. Process employee status changes in appropriate systems, ie. on/offboardings, title, department, manager updates, etc. Provide support with payroll tasks for both the US and UK, including sending timecard reminders, downloading reports, and preparing letters and documents, etc. Assist with wellness and employee engagement initiatives by compiling research, helping coordinate events, and circulating communications. Support accurate data entry for benefits. Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Construct and/or maintain various reports/records related to HR programs and processes. Other tasks and projects as reasonably assigned. Desired Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, preferred. 1-3 years general HR experience. Law firm or professional services experience preferred but not required. Comfortable with technology and adaptable to learning new systems, proficiency in MS Suite. Experience working in HRIS and applicant tracking systems; experience with Paycor a plus but not required. Must be able to exercise high levels of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality. Able to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced, response-driven environment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. Familiarity with group health and workplace insurance plans.
