Cheddar Mendip Heights is a franchise of The Camping and Caravanning Club and looking to recruit a friendly and enthusiastic couple to join our site team. We are a touring site of 90 pitches with 2 static caravans for hire, located in the village of Priddy, within the Mendip Hill AONB in Somerset. The site has been awarded an AA Gold 4 star rating.
The site is situated in a rural location surrounded by farmland and on the edge of the village. A pub is just 15 minutes walk away and we are only 5 miles from Cheddar and 6 miles from the City of Wells. The Mendip hills are great for walking and Somerset offers attractions ranging from beaches, nature reserves, historic properties and museums. Bristol and Bath are also less than an hour away.
The positions are for the 2026 season from April to September (precise start and finish dates subject to agreement).
Duties include administration and shop work, pitching, cleaning and grounds maintenance plus other duties for the efficient running of the site. A full job description can be requested using the form below
Full training will be provided but previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage. You must enjoy working with the general public and the ability to work well as part of a small team is important to the smooth running of the site. The job can be physically demanding so good physical fitness and a sense of humour is important.
You will need your own accommodation, but a hardstand pitch will be provided with inclusive 16A supply, wifi and laundry facilities.
Uniform and all necessary PPE will be provided.
We offer an hourly rate of £13.00 per hour. The hours will be approximately 40 per week per person during peak season, with a minimum of 30 off peak. This will include weekends and bank holidays.
2 consecutive days off (together) each week will be given and holiday accrued at the rate of 28 days / annum pro-rata. A pension is also payable for eligible candidates.
