Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Retail Refrigeration Engineer to join my client’s growing team across Scotland due to recent successful tendering process. The client is a leading national contractor covering supermarket and retail refrigeration sites across the UK, with long‑standing clients such as Aldi, Scotmid COOP and WHSmith Travel.
Responsibilities
* Service, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems, including CO₂, hydrocarbon, and F‑Gas based systems.
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a refrigeration engineer within retail environments.
* Strong working knowledge of CO₂ and hydrocarbon systems.
* F‑Gas Category 1 certification (essential).
* Desirable: City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Willingness to travel across Scotland.
Salary & Benefits
* Up to £48,000 DOE
* 40‑hour week
* Door‑to‑door travel pay
* 33 days holidays including Bank Holidays
* 1‑6 callout stand‑by £200 (will grow to 1‑8)
* OT rates at £30 ph
