About the Role:
As an Employability Skills Trainer, you’ll deliver engaging, classroom-based training sessions across various subject areas at level one, including:
Employability Skills
Customer Service
Mental Health Awareness
Business Administration
You’ll support and motivate learners – many of whom are unemployed or from ESOL backgrounds, guiding them toward positive progression.
Training will take place across multiple delivery centres in Hertfordshire and surrounding areas including Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire with some remote delivery via Teams and online platforms.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging training sessions in classroom settings
Provide ongoing mentoring, coaching and support
Deliver sessions both face-to-face and online
Set clear targets and provide regular feedback
Support learners academically and pastorally to raise aspiration and progression
Track progress using relevant software
Maintain accurate records including enrolment, attendance, and additional learner needs
Continuously evaluate and improve your own delivery and learner outcomes
What You’ll Need:
Recognised Assessors Award such as TAQA or CAVA
Recognised teaching qualification (highly desirable)
Experience delivering employability or vocational training
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Understanding of Ofsted and the Education Inspection Framework
Experience supporting learners from diverse backgrounds (e.g. NEET, ESOL, unemployed)
Good IT skills – confident using digital learning platforms
Driving licence and own transport is essential
