Job Summary:
WeeKicks, a provider of football activity classes for children aged between 15 months and 8th birthday, is seeking to hire a Football Coach. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching these classes and ensuring that they are educational, physically active, and high energy.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver football activity classes for children aged between 15 months and 8th birthday
* Create lesson plans that are age-appropriate, engaging, and fun
* Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment for all children
* Use positive reinforcement and encouragement to motivate children to participate and enjoy the classes
* Communicate with parents and caregivers about their child's progress and development
* Maintain accurate attendance records and complete necessary paperwork
* Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required
* Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and report any maintenance needs to the appropriate person
* Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children, preferably in a sports or coaching setting
* A strong understanding of child development and the ability to create age-appropriate lesson plans
* A passion for football and a desire to share this with children
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children and parents
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A current first aid and CPR certification, or a willingness to obtain one
* Availability to work flexible hours, including afternoons and weekends
